Andrew Spear

Andrew Spear is a Senior Staff Engineer with extensive experience in embedded systems and IoT device development. At Device Solutions, he has designed and improved robust IoT solutions utilizing technologies such as Bluetooth Low Energy, LoRa, LTE 4G, and Wi-Fi to enable advanced sensor monitoring, fault detection, and real-time cloud communication. His accomplishments include integrating Bluetooth audio standards into off-road intercom devices, creating multi-unit firefighter alert systems, and designing energy-efficient asset tracking systems.

Previously, Andrew developed software for aerospace fire protection systems at Kidde Aerospace and Defense, ensuring compliance with DO-178 standards, and leading system integration for commercial aircraft platforms. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering (Magna Cum Laude) and an MBA with a Finance concentration from Virginia Commonwealth University.
