Tony Sammarco is a highly experienced engineer with over 38 years of expertise in wireless technology and IoT ecosystem development. As Director of Product Technology Strategy at Device Solutions, Tony has driven innovation in IoT product design, leading projects from edge devices to cloud visualization and securing government contracts for groundbreaking wireless technology, including emergency digital paging over ATSC 3.0. He is an inventor with over 25 U.S. patents related to wireless technologies and expertise spanning technologies like LTE, IMS VoLTE, GSM, and Bluetooth.
Tony's career includes leadership roles in technology strategy and product development at Ascom Network Test and Ericsson / Sony Ericsson, where he advanced mobile standards and collaborated with global operators. A recipient of multiple industry awards, including the National Association of Broadcasters Best Paper Award, Tony combines technical excellence with strategic vision to deliver innovative solutions. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Miami University, Oxford, Ohio.
Outside of work, Tony enjoys woodworking, traveling, golf when he can, and spending time / cooking with family.
